Problem
Needed to connect to another ubuntu linux machine on a local network.
Solution
On the remote machine, from the home screen, search for and open Desktop Sharing and you’ll see the screen below. Select the Options listed:
On the machine from which you want to connect, install a Remote Desktop Client search as remmina:

Done Note, selecting 'remmina-plugin-telepathy' for regex 'remmina-plugin-*' Note, selecting 'remmina-plugin-gnome' for regex 'remmina-plugin-*' Note, selecting 'remmina-plugin-rdp' for regex 'remmina-plugin-*' Note, selecting 'remmina-plugin-xdmcp' for regex 'remmina-plugin-*' Note, selecting 'remmina-plugin-nx' for regex 'remmina-plugin-*' Note, selecting 'remmina-plugin-vnc' for regex 'remmina-plugin-*' Note, selecting 'remmina-plugin-data' for regex 'remmina-plugin-*'
Once it’s installed, then open remmina and add ip and username of the remote machine:
Then Click on Connect and your’ll be promoted for the password you entered in the Desktop Sharing Preferences of the remote machine:
